ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for transmitting signals over building or house wiring has a circuit for sampling the signals in a given sampling interval and a counter for counting the number of continuous pulses in the signals during the sampling interval and for ignoring the pulses in the given interval as noise if the number of the pulses counted during the sampling interval is less than a predetermined reference count and for treating the pulses as proper signals if the number of pulses counted is more the the reference count.
