Abstract There are described novel organotin compounds of the formula I Image (I) wherein R1 is unsubstituted or substituted lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, cycloalkyl, furyl or tetrahydrofuryl; R2 is unsubstituted or substituted aryl; R3 and R4 independently of one another are each hydrogen, or unsubstituted or substituted lower alkyl; and R5, R6 and R7 independently of one another are each unsubstituted or substituted lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl. There are also disclosed methods of producing these products, and also pesticidal compositions containing one of the said compounds as active ingredient. Also described is a method for controlling plant pests, which method is based on the application of the stated active substances or of compositions prepared therefrom.
