A B S T R A C T A drawer comprising metal side walls. A front plate is held at the drawer side walls by means of holding means. At least one strip of plastics material or the like is fastened to the outer sides of the drawer side walls. The strips cover openings in the drawer side walls through which a screwdriver gets access to the holding means of the front plate. The strips are held in guide grooves of the drawer side walls by means of guide flanges. The guide flanges are shorter than the strips, the latter hence comprising a free flap which can be pressed away from the drawer side wall. The flap carries a nose which engages in the opening and forms a catch means for the strip.
