FLEXIBLE THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER COMPOSITIONS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE New and improved flexible thermoplastic polyester compositions are disclosed having a flexural modulus of not substantially greater than about 140,000 psi, which are useful for forming flexible shaped articles such as hoses, tubings, wire coatings., cable jacketing and the like. The compositions comprise (a) a substantially crystalline thermoplastic linear polyester resin composition and (b) an amount of an amorphous copolymer resin effective to reduce the flexural modulus of (a) to not substantially greater than about 140,000 psi. In an alternate embodiment ultra low modulus thermoplastic polyester compositions are provided which additionally comprise (c) a minor effective amount of an enhancing agent capable of further reducing the flexural modulus of (a) puls (b) to not substantially greater than about 70,000 psi. It is disclosed that fillers, reinforcements and flame retardant agents may be incorporated into the ultra-low modulus compositions to provide filled, reinforced or flame retardant flexible thermoplastic polyester compositions having flexural moduli which are still not substantially greater than about 140,000 psi.
