ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE There is disclosed here a method of transferring an assembly of overlaid color toner images from a primary electrostatic imaging surface (e.g., a photoconductor) to a receptor sheet by embedding and encapsulating the toner particles in a transparent binder. The transfer is accomplished in one step with no loss in image quality, either in color or in resolution, and presents a glossy final result. The final encapsulated image is also protected from abrasion and contamination.
