TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN BE IT KNOWN that DAVID WESTON, of 34 Parkwood Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4V 2X1, a Canadian citizen, has invented certain new and useful improvements in PRODUCTION OF A PURIFIED ALUMINA-SILICA PRODUCT AND SUBSTANTIALLY PURE ALUMINUM TRICHLORIDE FROM BAUXITES AND CLAYS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE At least a single stage chlorination system for the production of a substantially iron-free alumina-silica product from Bauxites, Bauxitic Clays and Clays wherein at least one chlori- nation agent is selected from the group consisting of Cl2, HCl and COCl2 and at least one chlorination agent iron the group consisting of AlCl3 and SiCl4.
