ABSTRACT The invention relates to compositions for use in the determination of molecular weights of proteins. The composition comprises at least one protein or polypeptide of known molecular weight selected from the group of Ig components consisting of the immunoglobulins and fragments and polymers thereof. In use, the composition and a sample protein are simultaneously subjected to electrophoretic resolution on a polymeric gel and results com- pared.
