ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A seed drill for discharging seed and fertilizer and comprising a frame, storage tanks, coulters with at least two separate inlets for the seed and fertilizer, and depth quidance and pressure rollers arranged after the said coulters, the latter being connected to the frame by parallelogram-type retainers with an adjusting device to control the depth of penetration into the ground. In order to provide a seed drill which will allow seed and fertilizer to be spread separately using the zero tillage process, even over stoney ground, the coulter is in the form of a chisel share, the chisel thereof being arranged on the side of the share facing the direction of travel. Provided within the body of the chisel-share are separate guides for seed and fertilizer. As seen in the direction of travel, the outlets from these guides are arranged at a distance from each other, the first outlet being located close behind the tip of the chisel. The said tip penetrates into the ground more deeply than the two outlets. Also disclosed are methods of preparing soil and seeding based on use of the disclosed apparatus.
