ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed a valve for closing a well bore to flow therethrough automatically in response to the loss of a controlled condition. The valve has springs in which energy may be generated, in response to bleeding off of pressure above the closed valve. So long as the controlled condition is maintained, the return of a pressure balance across the closed valve will permit the release energy generated in one of the springs to open the valve. The loss of the controlled condition releases further energy generated in the other spring to close the valve.
