ABSTRACT IMITATION MEDAL Medals are commonly cast or forged from metal. The expense of so producing a medal is reduced by providing a pair of casing parts that are composed of plastic and which are arranged together to give the appearance of a unitary medal having a pair of spaced apart outer faces on which the medal can be decorated. These casing parts have an internal cavity between them. A weighted member is located in this cavity to give the medal an appreciable weight.
