ABSTRACT The present invention is directed to a vaccine composition for use in immunizing pigs against swine dysentery caused by Treponema hyodysenteriae infection. The vaccine composition comprises a live strain or an oxygen-treated, non-viable strain of T. hyodysenteriae, if required with an adjuvant in an acceptable carrier therefor. The vaccine is suitable for parenteral administration.
