METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STIMULATING GROWTH AND REGENERATION OF HAIR Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is an invention providing a method and a device for effect- ing electrotherapeutics. More precisely, the invention provides an iontophoretic method for stimulating growth and regeneration of hair, comprising charging on the scalp a certain short pulse to introduce medicament into the scalp. Also, the present invention provide a safe and economic device useful in the above method. The medicaments preferred in the invention are certain photosensi- tizing compounds having a common amino vinyl structure, such as 2,2'[3'- [2(3-heptyl-4-methyl-2-thiazolin-2-ylidene) ethylidene] propenylene] bis [3- heptyl-4-methyl thiazolinium iodide], 2-[2-(3-heptyl-4-methyl-2-thiazoli- nium-2-ylidene) methine]-3-heptyl-4-methyl thiazolinium iodide, 6-[2-[(5- bromo-2-pyridyl) amino]vinyl]-1-ethyl-2-picolinium iodide, and 2-(2-anilino- vinyl)-3,4-dimethyl-oxazolinium iodide. The short pulse usable in the invention is a low-frequency square wave superposed with a diphasic action potential wave.
