ABSTRACT A filter for filtering fluid flowing in either direction comprising a block having first and second peripheral ports with a forward line of flow through said block from the first peripheral port to the second peripheral port, and a reverse line of flow through said block from the second peripheral port to the first peripheral port. A first check valve and a first filter element being disposed in the forward line of flow to only allow fluid flow in the forward direction through the first filter element, and a second check valve and a second filter element disposed in the reverse line of flow to only allow fluid flow in the reverse direction through the second filter element.
