A b s t r a c t Substituted benzylcycloalkenylurea derivatives of the formula (I) Image (I) wherein X represents a halogen atom or a lower alkyl group, Y represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R1 represents a cycloalkenyl group and R2 represents a lower alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a benzyl group or a phenyl group optionally substi- tuted by 1 to 5 substituents selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group or a lower alkoxy group and their use as fungicides. They can be synthesized, for example, by reacting of a substituted benzyl-cycloalkenyl- amine with an isocyanate or by reacting of a carbamoyl halide with an amine. The starting material, the substi- tuted benzyl-cycloalkenyl amines are new too.
