ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE plastic pallet is disclosed which exhibits superior strength while also being nestable one within another. The increased strength is provided by a recessed receptacle or cavity (15) formed at the central portion of the upper surface of the pallet. A center plug or insert (16) is received within the countersunk receptacle (15) to provide strength for the pallet to resist deflection of the central portion of the pallet when the pallet is supported along peripheral sides thereof.
