Abstract of the Disclosure This application is directed to fluorosulfato- perfluoroalkane-sulfonic acid halides of the formula III Image III wherein Rf denotes F or perfluoroalkyl with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, X denotes Cl or F and n denotes a number O to 7. These compounds of the formula III are inter- mediates in the preparation of perfluorocarbonylsulfonic acid fluorides which are used as intermediates for the preparation of perfluorinated ion exchanger resins.
