ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an improved method for manufacturing dehydrated goods which com- prises charging the products to be treated in a rotat- able basket placed into an autoclave which can be pressurized and depressurized, sequentially contacting the products with an osmotic solution by spraying the osmotic solution onto the products in the presence of pressurized steam, rapidly reducing the internal pres- sure of the autoclave immediately after ceasing contact with the osmotic solution, repeating the cycle if neces- sary, alternatively raising the internal pressure or maintaining it at a reduced level, spraying heated oil on the products and rapidly rotating the products under reduced pressure, thereby removing remaining oil and water from the material, and finally recovering the desired products.
