A B S T R A C T A tilting transfer mechanism for a venetian blind assembly, particularly between the panes (3,4) of a double glazing unit and having a plurality of slats (10), at least one tape cable (12) forming part of supporting means, supporting said slats, pivotal upper and lower hanger members (15, 16) supporting each tape cable, upper and lower bearing elements (20) pivotally supporting said upper and lower hanger members respectively, a linearly movable operating element such as a magnet (21) and connecting means (22) operatively connecting said linearly movable operating element with said hanger members, whereby linear movement of said operating element will cause said hanger members to pivot on said bearing elements to tilt said slats and a magnetic actuating member (23) movement of which will cause movement of said operating element (21) and thus tilting the slats.
