Abstract of the disclosure: A process for binding and removing lipoproteins from aqueous fluids is described, the lipoproteins being bound to polyhydroxymethylene, onto which is grafted an oxyethylated alcohol or an oxyethylated carboxylic acid, and, where appropriate, being eluted from the polyhydroxymethylene. The process is also suitable for blood plasma or serum.
