ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for assembling a video tape has at least one means for driving the video tape, at least one sound track and means for driving the sound track. The respective information carriers (the video tape and the sound tape) are mixed with each other in such a synchronous way that a new information carrier is provided. For providing such a new information carrier, precise synchronism between the individual carrier tracks is necessary in all operational states. Such a synchronism is obtained by providing a drive coupled connection between the driving means for the video tape and the driving means for the sound track.
