ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An engine mount for use in an outboard motor and including a hollow flexible housing adapted to be positioned between a propulsion unit and a swivel bracket of an outboard motor, the hollow flexible housing being adapted to contain a fluid and being inflatable. The hollow flexible housing is connected to a fluid pump supplying fluid pressure to the flexible housing to inflate the flexible housing, the fluid pressure being proportional to the speed of operation of the outboard motor. A rigid sleeve surrounds the hollow flexible housing for limiting inflation of the hollow flexible housing and causing the rigidity of the engine mount to increase as the fluid pressure in the inflatable housing increases.
