60SI-774 SILANE SCAVENGERS FOR HYDROXY RADICALS CONTAINING SILICON-HYDROGEN BONDS Abstract of the Disclosure Silicon compounds containing silicon-hydrogen bonds which are useful as hydroxy scavengers in one component, alkoxy functional silicone RTV composition and their method of preparation are described. The organopolysiloxane composition comprises: (A) a polydiorganosiloxane base polymer with chain ends terminating with at least two alkoxy radicals or silanol radicals; (B) a condensation catalyst; (C) a scavanger for hydroxy functional groups such as triethoxysilane; (D) as an optional component, a crosslinking silane; (E) as an optional component, a cure accelerator such as a guanidine or amine; and (F) as an optional component, a scavenger for hydrogen gas such as dicyclopentadiene and molecular sieves of from 3 to 5 Angstroms.
