ABSTRACT There is provided a new and useful electronic apparatus for sensing a predetermined liquid level comprising a sensor and a sensor electrode adapted to be used in association with a sensor voltage source, wherein a first terminal of the source is adapted to be imposed upon the liquid and a second terminal of the source is adapted to be connected to a first input terminal of the sensor; wherein the sensor electrode is connected to a second input terminal of the sensor and the extremity of the electrode is positioned at the predetermined level; and wherein the sensor comprises an opto- isolator, and on the input side of the opto-isolator, a capacitor in series with the isolator, a shunt diode across the isolator and a shunt resistance across the isolator.
