The novel photochromic compound of the present invention is a spirooxazine compound having an addition polymerizable organic functional group (such as acrylic acid ester group) or a ring-opening polymerizable organic functional group (such as epoxy group). The photochromic polymer may be used in a wide variety of fields, including in contact lens.
