APPLICATION OF FOLIAR-ACTIVE MATERIALS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Foliar-active materials, such as certain herbicides, when delivered through sprinkler irrigation systems provide unexpected control of relatively large weeds at the same rate per acre as that normally used for postemergence control of the average or smaller size weeds when the same herbicide is applied by a non-irrigation method.
