ABSTRACT: Medical apparatus A medical apparatus comprising a displaceable vertical column 1 along which there can be slid a support 23 in which an arm 25 is rota- table about a first horizontal axis. Secured to the arm 25 and rotatable about a second horizontal axis parallel to the first horizontal axis, is an examination device which comprises a combination of a radiation source 81 and a radiation detector 83. Said combination is mounted on a C-shaped frame 63 which is displaceable circumferentially about an axis which lies at right angles to both horizontal axes. The two translatory dis- placements and the three rotary displacements of the apparatus can be per- formed individually by means of corresponding variable speed motor drives whose operation can, however, be coordinated if desired. The medical apparatus is particulary suitable for so-called isocentric examinations of the vascular system. Figure 1.
