ABSTRACT An apparatus is described which may be used as an interlock assembly for sliding or swing doors of elevation de- vices. The assembly comprises three basic parts, namely; a box-like housing; a beak; and a key. The assembly only allows the elevator to move when the outer door is closed and the outer elevator door to open when the elevator is positioned adjacent the door. The assembly also provides for the use of an emergency key to mechanically open the elevator door.
