ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The conventional gas scrubbing apparatus includes a tower through which liquid or scrubbing fluid flows in one direction and gas in the opposite direction for contact with the scrubbing fluid. A relatively simple, portable structure includes a casing with a vertical inlet duct in one end thereof for introducing a gas into the bottom of a treatment liquid in the casing a first inclined baffle extending between the sides of the casing from such one to proximate the other end thereof; a second inclined baffle extending between the sides of the casing from the other end thereof to proximate such one end, the baffles defining a circuitous path for the gas to ensure maximum contact between the gas and the treatment fluid and at least one outlet for the gas in the top of the casing.
