ABSTRACT A highspeed optical scanning system using a circular array of concave reflectors on a reading disc which appears in conjunction with a strip mirror to achieve horizontal scanning. Such horizontal scanning can be combined with a framing mirror to achieve orthogonal scanning. The system can operate in a "ready" mode for scanning a scene or can operate in a "write" mode to create 2 picture, or can do both simultaneously.
