ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An injection molding system having a number of heated nozzles or probes, each with a forward nose portion extending in a well in an insert in alignment with a gate leading to a cavity. A circular cooling fluid passage extends through the insert around the nose portion adjacent the cavity. The cooling fluid passage receives a flow of cooling fluid through inlet and outlet ducts which removes excessive heat which otherwise accumulates from the hot melt and the heating element in the nozzle. The insert is made by integrally brazing inner and outer portions together in a vacuum furnace. The circular passage and the inlet and outlet ducts are provided by machining appropriate grooves and bores in the inner and outer portions before they are brazed together.
