ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Nonionic surfactants based upon low molecular weight block copolymers of ethylene oxide and butylene oxide are particularly useful as low foaming dewatering aids in the processing (e.g., filtering, drying, etc.) of various mineral concentrates. Such surfactants are especially beneficial in that they exhibit a substantially reduced propensity to build up or accumulate in recirculating plant water. As result, such surfactants are particularly well suited for use in mineral processing facilities which are not equipped with the capability to treat recirculating plant water for the removal of excess surfactant accumulation therein.
