PREPARATION OF CHLORINATED PHTHALOCYANINES Abstract of the Disclosure According to the present invention there is provided a process for the production of highly halogenated copper phthalocyanine which comprises heating at an elevated temperature a mixture of copper phthalocyanine, sulfuryl chloride, sulfur monochloride, aluminum chloride and cuprous chloride thereby obtaining a green copper phthalocyanine.
