ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tape loading apparatus having a loading ring with guides for withdrawing a magnetic tape from a tape cassette and wrapping it around a rotary drum, wherein the rotating speed of the loading ring is controlled in response to the loading position, i.e., the rotation angle of the loading ring to protect the magnetic tape from being damaged.
