-14- ABSTRACT This invention relates to a trim panel and to a method of making the same. The trim panels are intended for use in decorating the interior of a motor vehicle. The trim panel finds particular use as the trim panel for decorating the roof of the interior of a motor vehicle. The trim panel produced by the method of this invention is one which, when installed in a motor vehicle, provides for additional head room within the interior of the vehicle because that portion of the trim panel overlying the area of an occupant's head is depressed inwardly toward the ceiling panel from a position it might otherwise occupy. In such a manner, the trim panel provides additional head room for the occupant of the vehicle. The trim panel is depressed inwardly in a die forming operation.
