A B S T R A C T PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HYDROCARBON OIL DISTILLATES Distillates are produced from asphaltenes-containing hydrocarbon mixtures by a process comprising subjecting the hydrocarbon mixtures to solvent deasphalting, and subjecting the resulting asphaltic bitumen fraction to a combination of a catalytic hydrotreatment and thermal cracking.
