28545 Abstract of the Disclosure A means for adapting the end of a plastic pipe for coupling to another pipe is provided. The coupling means is a pair of fittings each of which comprises a reinforcing metal sleeve and a pipe stub which is interconnected to the sleeve. Each metal sleeve has a plurality of perforations into which the plastic material flows so as to form interconnecting elements which lock the sleeve in place on the plastic pipe section.
