ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Herein disclosed are N-[(2-naphthalenyl)thioxomethyl] glycine deri- vatives of the formula Image wherein R1 is lower alkyl and R2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halo or trifluoromethyl. The derivatives have aldose reductase inhibiting activity and are useful for treating diabetic complications.
