ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides substituted benzyl- phthalazinone derivatives of the formula Image I where R is a benzyl group, a phenylethyl group, a methoxy- ethyl group or an allyl group or a physiologically compatible acid addition salt thereof. The compounds are useful. The compounds of the invention are antiallergic and asthma pro- phlactically active.
