A description is given of a moulding compound made of elastomeric polyolefin rubbers, polyethylene and/or ethylene copolymers and additives, the said compound containing, out of 100 parts of polyolefin rubber, 25 to 100 parts by weight of polyethylene and/or ethylene copolymers having an MFI (melt-flow-index) (190/2,16) of less than 0.1 (g/10 min), and between 16 and 28 parts by weight of a mineral oil. Also described is an elastic sealing strip, more particularly a roof-sealing strip, made from the said moulding compound by calendering or extruding.
