CONTINUOUS PROCESS FOR MATTRESSES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The production of foam by a continuous process comprising (i) impregnating a porous carrier with a fluid agent capable of altering the pH of an aqueous polymeric emulsion; (ii) contacting at least one surface of the porous carrier with one or more compounds of said aqueous polymeric emulsion, said compounds being stabilized with a pH sensitive soap; (iii) exposing said porous carrier and said one or more compounds to an environment of a fluid gelling agent capable of altering the pH of said one or more compounds for a period of time to gel said compounds; and (iv) drying and vulcanizing the resulting foam composite permits the production of foams of variable density without the cost of redesigning the foam mold.
