PINNED SUBSTRATE APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure A pinned ceramic substrate in which at least one pin has an extension that is in interlocking engaged relationship with the ceramic particles of a substrate region surrounding an opening in which the pin or a portion thereof is located. Both the extension and interlocking engaged relationship are the result of an impact force to the pin which places the pin in a temporary viscoelastic fluid state.
