ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE The injection- or vulcanizing mould, or die, is designed for the manufacture of footwear comprising a textile insock which forms the inside layer thereof. It consists, in conventional manner, of an inner mould or die in the form or shape of a last, and a hinged, openable outer mould or die. Along the top edge of the last, above the mould- or die cavity, pins are provided which stand proud of the last and are adapted to retain the textile sock prior to and during the injection moulding process. Some pins are longitudinally slidable in the last to enable controlled retraction thereof and disengagement from the textile sock whereas other pins are rigidly secured to the last whilst opposite each of such pins the outer mould or die is provided with a recess which has a back-taper and communicates with the mould cavity through a groove in the outer mould bounded by the last.
