IMPROVED ROOM-TEMPERATURE CURING SILICONE SEALANTS Abstract This invention is a method of improving the shelf life and oil resistance of silicone elastomeric sealants which are based upon hydroxyl endblocked polydiorgano- siloxanes, alkyltrialkoxysilane, and titanate catalyst. The improvement is accomplished by the addition of from 10 to 100 parts by weight of silethylene ended polymer of the formula Image where each R is an organic radical selected from methyl, ethyl, propyl, phenyl, and trifluoropropyl r each R" is methyl or ethyl, Z is an ethylene radical or combination of ethylene radicals and siloxane radicals, a is 0 or 1, and x is of a value such that the polymer has a viscosity of from 0.05 to 10 Pa.s at 25°C.
