ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A terminal element of leaf-shaped resilient contact material for making a solderless, non-screwed and non-stripping contact, comprises a first pair of resil- ient lugs defining a first longitudinal contact slot there- between of a first width and having a cascade-like enlarged insertion opening, a transverse slot at the bottom of the first slot connected to two spaced longitudinal slots, thereby forming a U-shaped slot and a second longitudinal contact slot formed beneath the transverse slot in alignment with the first contact slot and narrower than the first slot, the second slot and the trasverse slot forming a second pair of resilient lugs. The slots are adapted, upon deflection in opposite directions of said lugs, for termination of respective wires of different diameters and with the lug pairs independently engaging their respec- tive wires and each slot so engaging the respective wire without affecting the other slot and the slots being arranged at a 45° angle with respect to the axes of either wire.
