Abstract This divisional application encompasses the water ski pole disclosed herein and in the parent application. The water ski pole, normally used as a mirrored pair, is meant to be used in conjunction with water skis of the type used to "cross country ski" on water. On the bottom end of the pole is attached sufficient floatation to enhance the user's lateral stability, and to assist the user in forward, turning and rearward movements. The shape of the floatation is designed to maximize its functionality, where previous designs, such as inverted cups or cans have been lacking. The pole shaft can be telescopic to facilitate variations in length.
