ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a film which is suitable for separating multicomponent liquid or gaseous systems, comprised of a semipermeable membrane which has profiling on its surface and which is preferably applied to a support material which has a strengthen- ing function. The profiling is formed either when the membrane is prepared on profiled release materials, or by profile-imparting elements which are fixed to the surface of the film or are located in the membrane layer or between the support material and the mem- brane layer. Processes for preparing this film and a membrane separating device having a spiral-like or layered structure are also disclosed.
