A B S T R A C T Cowper having no combustion shaft The invention provides a cowper having no combustion shaft, with a combustion chamber connected by a cupola and lying above the chequerwork, and with a plurality of burners arranged symmetrically on the cupola wall, each burner being installed at a specific angle relative to the corresponding cupola radius. A burner duct (12,13, 14 15) is installed in the cupola masonry in front of each burner (36) and the outlet of the said duct (29, 30, 31, 32) is widening conically at the entry into the cupola and is aligned at a particular angle towards the cupola arch.
