ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A reversible seat comprising a fixed lower frame, a rotatable upper frame carrying a seat, a Y-shape slot and roller means connecting the fixed and rotatable frames in- cluding a pivotal switch lever positively to control the se- quence of roller movement along the Y-shape slot selectively to permit 180° rotation of the upper frame relative to the lower frame to reverse the seat orientation, and locking means postively to secure the upper frame to the lower frame for seat use. Also disclosed is a reversible transportation seat comprising a lower fixed frame supported by at least a vehicle wall, an upper rotatable seat frame, means inter- connecting the lower fixed frame and upper rotatable seat frame to permit the latter to be rotated 180° for reversal, and a spring loaded latching assembly pivotally mounted on the lower fixed frame adjacent the end thereof remote from the wall, the latching assembly having hook means selectively to encircle locking stud means on the upper frame positively to bias the upper rotatable frame into locked engagement with the lower frame.
