ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION cylinder liner comprising a generally cylindrical outer wall, a generally cylindrical inner wall defining a cylinder having a bottom end, and an exhaust port communicating with the cylinder and being defined by an upper wall extending between the inner and outer walls and being curved concavely with respect to the bottom end, a lower wall extending between the inner and outer walls and being curved convexly with respect to the bottom end, and opposite side walls extending between the inner and outer walls and between the upper and lower walls and converging toward the bottom end of the cylinder.
