ABSTRACT A carrier carton of the "suitcase" type in which a divider-handle assembly, made from a single blank of sheet material, is mounted in a shell, also made from a single blank. In the divider-handle assembly, respective juxtaposed divider panels are hingedly connected, at one end, to shoulders of respective plies in the handle assembly, which have weakened parts for rupture to allow separation of the handle part from the divider part for up and down movement. The divider-handle assembly is fashioned from a single blank in which the divider part includes elongated hingedly connected divider panels hingedly connected endwise to handle sections of a handle part made up of six handle sections hinged together for folding into juxtaposition and gluing together. The shell is formed from a single blank in which integral first and second parts are arranged in L-shape so that they can be juxtaposed and glued together with the divider-handle assembly between them to provide a carton in folded condi- tion, ready to be squared up. A method of forming the divider-handle assembly from the blank in which the handle sections are progressively juxtaposed, together with a reinforcing flap, and glued together to form an assembly which is interposed between the divider panels and which are finally juxtaposed, with the handle assembly between them, for sliding between stowed and operative position. - 1 -
